Who this is for
Plenty of people want to own a firearm or a suppressor and dread the shop that comes with it. The counter attitude, the upsell, the assumption that you already know the lingo.
Nexus was built for first-time buyers, for military and veterans, for first responders and teachers, and for anyone who has felt talked down to somewhere else. Ask any question. There are no dumb ones here, and nobody is timing you.
What we do
Sourced through our wholesale dealer network and matched to your host and your use. This is the heart of what we do, and it always starts with a conversation.
Bought a firearm or NFA item somewhere else? We receive it, complete the transfer in person with the required paperwork and background check, and hand it over clean. $35 standard, $50 for NFA, half off if you serve.
Upgrades, fitment, and full builds. The consultation is free. Bench work runs $75 an hour, and a complete build is a flat quote agreed up front.
The suppressor is the easy part. Getting it matched to the right host, thread, gas system, and mount is where the results come from. That is the guidance you pay us for.
Try before you commit
When it helps a decision, John can set up a side-by-side comparison so you can feel how a budget suppressor and a premium one actually behave on the same host. For a lot of people, that is the moment the uncertainty goes away.
This comparison happens at John's personal, unlicensed backyard range. It is offered informally as a courtesy. It is not a company asset and not a licensed or bonded facility, and it is always described that way in person.
The storefront
We are building a full Nexus Firearms storefront with drop-ship from our dealer network, in-checkout FFL selection, and pricing for military and first responders. Until it opens, everything runs through a consultation.
Want to know the day it goes live? Leave your email and that is the only thing we will send you.
No newsletter, no spam. One email when the store opens.
About
John Codd started Nexus to do firearms retail the way he wished it worked: patient, honest, and personal. Twenty-four years in the Coast Guard, a lot of range time since, and a standing belief that there is always more to learn.
In 2025 the business was awarded a $4,000 Growth Grant by the National Association for the Self-Employed, put toward building out inventory, compliance, and the online store.
